In Abomosu there is a little shop which has two video games people can play (soccer and boxing). I have seen a couple kids watching but mostly it is young adult men who I have seen playing. Outside this, kids have lots of ways to keep themselves entertained. Oh how I wish kids in America could enjoy themselves so easily.
Tennis on main
I have no idea what the point of this is, but I see kids everywhere with these long sticks and two little wheels at the end of it. They just push it around the town and have a blast doing it.
I also see this a lot…a stick and a tire!
All you need is a stick and a bench and you can practice pretty sweet karate moves
Merry-go-round
Very few people have tv’s (or electricity for that matter) out here. Often at night one of the shops will have a small television with a program on and kids and adults alike will gather around to watch.
Even though the living conditions are quite different here than in America, I think people seem to be overall much happier. They enjoy what they have and do it without complaining. They are always smiling. Much can be learned from the wonderful people of Ghana and I am blessed to be here learning some of it.
