Chloee turned 21 while here in Africa. She has never been away from her family on her birthday and we wanted to do something special for her. Since I stayed longer in Koforidua and learned the hard way that they do not run a 10am bus back to Abomosu, I had a little time to kill. I looked around for various items which I thought Chloee may enjoy. I never realized just how difficult it would be to find simple foods we take advantage of in the States. For example, cold cereal, cinnamon, jam, and milk. I still have not seen real milk since I have been out here. I have seem some flavored milks and a lot of soy milk. Anyway, I was able to get some cinnamon which Maddie and I used to make French toast. I also found Frosted Flakes. Margaret made Red Red which is Chloee’s favorite. Elder Dalton made her a cake and even had birthday candles.
Nkansah came over and brought his girlfriend Pearl, whom we had yet to meet.
I am glad! We finished the night off playing tag outside with some kids.
This is a picture of Junior about to tag me.
Of course we had to get a jumping picture
All in all Chloee seemed very excited and seemed to have a good time. I am glad!
